Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve IT hardware issues to support data center infrastructure
• Install, upgrade, and dismantle hardware based on operational requirements
• Manage connectivity for fiber optic cables and patch cords
• Perform hardware and network diagnostics and physical repairs
• Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)
• Develop documentation for hardware configuration and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in server hardware diagnostics and resolution
• Solid understanding of data center operations and network equipment
• Proficiency in Linux operating system and command-line tools
• Experience with enterprise-grade network switches and fiber optic cables
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and graphing)
