About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures to identify and replace faulty components.
- Execute hardware deployments, including staging, setting up, and performing post-execution quality checks.
- Verify that grounding, labeling, cabling, and staging are set up according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes, such as memory upgrades or rebuilds.
- Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate management units, technician leads, and engineering specialists.
- Provide guidance and assistance to other technicians to complete complex tasks.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information and participating in regular team meetings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, TAFE, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- 1+ years of industry work experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Must be able to meet Microsoft and government security screening requirements.
- Verification of Australian Citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of industry work experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) or Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
