Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware deployments, including staging and setting up equipment for cloud infrastructure
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and replace faulty components with minimal disruption
• Execute hardware decommissions for refreshes and upgrades following standard operating procedures
• Perform post-execution quality checks on grounding, labeling, cabling, and staging to ensure safety and design standards
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to management and engineering specialists
• Provide guidance and support to other technicians on complex or challenging tasks
• Maintain accountability for service quality and data center facility integrity

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and components
• 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
• Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+) or Basic Structure Cabling (BSC)
