Data Center Technician L3

Responsibilities

• Perform rack & stack, hardware installation, and structured cabling (fiber and copper) during the deployment phase
• Support system provisioning, configuration, and validation activities
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across Layer 1–3, including hardware, cabling, and network
• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex operational issues
• Interface with network devices via CLI (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell)
• Utilize Linux systems for troubleshooting and operational support
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records using ITSM/DCIM tools
• Participate in on-call rotation supporting 24x7 operations

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data center operations or similar technical environments
• Proficiency with Linux systems and basic scripting (e.g., Bash, Ansible)
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot network hardware using CLI tools
• Strong experience with structured cabling and hardware lifecycle management
• Experience provisioning systems via USB, PXE, or network-based methods
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent certifications
• CCNA or similar networking certification
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Experience with Jira or ServiceNow
