Data Center Technician L2

Responsibilities

• Support the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling
• Provide first-level triage and support debugging of issues discovered on IT hardware
• Maintain the IT server repair queue and execute repairs on servers and related hardware
• Supervise and execute custom builds and reworks of servers and racks
• Utilize command-line tools and techniques in Linux and client-specific environments
• Manage high and low-level tasks in coordination with partner teams to support IT service health
• Validate repair documentation for IT hardware and configurations
• Support on-site vendor visits by providing escorts and assistance with internal tools

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience with Linux system administration and network administration
• Proficiency in the Linux command line with common UNIX tools
• Basic understanding of PC and server hardware
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
