Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware troubleshooting and maintenance for mission-critical infrastructure, including storage, network, and servers
• Manage, test, and install data and power cabling
• Respond to technical requests 24x7 from business operations centers
• Work flexible shifts and participate in an on-call rotation as required
• Execute small projects under the direction of leadership
• Maintain relationships with team members, business partners, and third-party vendors to ensure SLA compliance

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience working in a Data Center environment
• Proficiency in at least two of the following: Systems Administration (Linux/Windows), Networking Concepts, Programming/Scripting (Python, Java, Perl, Ruby, or PHP), or Data Center Architecture
• Foundational knowledge of IT hardware and systems, including RAID, storage, hardware diagnostics, SAS/SATA, and boot processes
• Experience with core OS services such as SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, or LDAP
• Ability to work a flexible shift schedule and travel between Data Center sites if needed
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, kneel, crawl, reach above shoulder height, and move about the facility for up to 85% of a shift
