Data Center Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform server rack installations and hardware break-fix on various components
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents impacting service availability
• Serve as a primary contact point for engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors
• Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities
• Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives
• Assist in training and onboarding new team members

Requirements

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly
• Valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle for travel within the regional work area
• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of network design, protocols, and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting
• Associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Network Engineering)
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Previous experience working in a data center or other critical environment
