Data Center Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of staff, including coaching, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews.
• Spend over 50% of time performing hands-on technical support, including server installs, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Manage hardware installation, rack and stack, cabling, provisioning, and decommissioning.
• Perform root cause analysis of complex technical issues and drive resolutions.
• Debug hardware and OS-related issues (Linux and Windows) using command-line tools.
• Manage operational metrics and KPIs, providing explanations for performance results.
• Assist with onboarding, training new hires, and screening burst labor resources.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the health of the server fleet.

Requirements

• Proven experience in people management and leadership.
• Strong server-side technical knowledge and computer hardware experience.
• Ability to safely lift and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• High level of written and oral fluency in English.
• Ability to learn new software quickly and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
