Data Center Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Spend over 50% of time working hands-on with technicians to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers, networking equipment, and cabling
• Provide technical direction and ensure technicians are trained on deployment and quality assurance protocols
• Perform advanced hardware diagnostics and repairs on components such as hard drives, RAM, and motherboards
• Manage ticket workflows and monitor progress to ensure timely resolution per SLA requirements
• Oversee inventory management, including accurate tracking and updating of systems
• Lead onsite team management, including staff scheduling, workload distribution, and performance reviews
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical and operational issues
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce strict adherence to PPE and operational safety protocols

Requirements

• College diploma or degree, or a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a technical environment
• Strong hands-on experience with computer hardware diagnostics and repair
• Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move at least 50 pounds
• Possession of a Real ID or other federally accepted identification for U.S. travel
• Ability to work in environments that may reach 90+ degrees Fahrenheit and wear PPE for extended periods
• Willingness to provide on-call support during weekend shifts and travel to other locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related technical field
• Extensive data center experience and exposure to industry best practices
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and data center operational workflows
• Proven ability to mentor and develop technical teams
