Data Center Repair Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead breakfix operations across server, storage, and network hardware platforms
• Perform advanced diagnostics using CLI tools like Cisco IOS, NX-OS, and Linux shell
• Oversee physical hardware repair including component-level replacements for drives, memory, NICs, and motherboards
• Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues including port failures and link flaps
• Coordinate with OEM vendors for RMA processes and warranty claims
• Manage ticket queues and ensure SLA adherence through effective prioritization
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians
• Maintain documentation for incident resolution and root cause analysis

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in network and server support and hardware diagnostics
• Proficiency with CLI-based tools (Cisco CLI, Linux/Unix shell, iDRAC, iLO)
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing server, storage, and network hardware
• Familiarity with network protocols such as ping, traceroute, netstat, SNMP, and syslog
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between data center sites
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or Dell EMC
• Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy
• Familiarity with scripting for automation using Bash or Python
• Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment
