Data Center Operations Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute complex infrastructure projects, including site build-outs, large-scale migrations, and high-density deployments.
• Drive capacity strategy by modeling space, power, and cooling requirements to provide data-backed forecasting.
• Define and refine regional engineering standards for rack design, power distribution, and structured cabling.
• Manage critical site relationships with colocation providers and vendors to coordinate upgrades and maintenance.
• Optimize system reliability by analyzing incident trends and implementing automation or process enhancements.
• Provide technical guidance to Level I and II engineers to elevate the team's technical standards.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and high-density environment management.
• Proficiency in DCIM and asset management tools.
• Proven ability to interpret complex capacity and utilization data for engineering recommendations.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with remote engineering, real estate, and facilities teams.
