Data Center Operations Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure new server, storage and network infrastructure is properly racked, labeled, cabled, and configured
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems
• Document data center layout and network topology in DCIM software
• Work with supply chain and manufacturing teams for timely deployment and large-scale project plans
• Manage parts depot inventory and track equipment through the delivery-to-handoff process
• Collaborate with HW Support to resolve infrastructure-related support tickets
• Work with RMA team to manage faulty parts and replacements
• Follow installation standards for placement, labeling, and cabling to ensure consistency

Requirements

• Familiarity with critical data center infrastructure (power distribution, air flow, environmental monitoring, capacity planning)
• Experience with DCIM software and structured cabling
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Action-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn
• Willingness to travel for new data center bring-ups
• Ability to work shifts and be present in the Quebec City Data Center 5 days a week

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting server hardware
• Knowledge of network topology
• Familiarity with JIRA or Zendesk
• Experience with Linux administration
• Experience in large-scale distributed data center environments
• Experience with Supermicro and Nvidia hardware
