Data Center Operations Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Deploy new server and infrastructure hardware, including racking and cabling, across data center locations
• Perform hardware break/fix activities such as replacing drives, RAM, CPUs, and power supplies
• Troubleshoot and support existing infrastructure to maintain stable production environments
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and lifecycle tracking records
• Support vendor RMA processes and coordinate hardware returns
• Execute approved change activities in live production environments following strict change management procedures
• Provide on-site support to Systems and Network Engineering teams during maintenance windows

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working in a production data center environment
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting server hardware
• Experience replacing physical hardware components (drives, RAM, CPUs, motherboards, etc.)
• Familiarity with asset management tracking and reporting
• Working knowledge of change management principles in online production environments
• Ability to lift and rack equipment up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel up to 30%
