Data Center Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work with internal engineers and external vendors to design, implement, and monitor data center power and cooling systems
• Consult with technology stakeholders to translate compute needs into infrastructure requirements
• Develop and review design documentation, including cooling/power calculations, CFD studies, and failure analysis
• Strategize on control sequences of operation and monitoring approaches with the controls team
• Abstract complex cooling constraints for other technology teams
• Research and develop future data center solutions for maximum flexibility and performance
• Build and lead an interdisciplinary team of researchers, traders, and engineers
• Bridge the knowledge gap between infrastructure and GPU/HPC systems
• Design and oversee cooling implementation for high-density GPU and trading systems

Requirements

• Mechanical, computer, or electrical engineering degree
• 10+ years of experience in thermal/mechanical or data center engineering
• Direct experience with multi-megawatt GPU deployments and high-density computing
• Hands-on experience in data center operations and hardware engineering
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to balance systems-level thinking with practical engineering
• Comfort making decisions in ambiguous environments
