Data Center Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of the data center, including logistics, site security, and facility management.
• Ensure site safety, compliance, and adherence to relevant security standards.
• Manage and maintain world-class infrastructure, including power distribution and IT cooling systems.
• Oversee the continual deployment of new network and server capacity to meet customer needs.
• Manage local teams through leadership, performance management, and professional development.
• Handle site finances, including Opex/Capex, profit/loss reporting, and business case justifications.
• Reduce operational risk through proactive infrastructure management and fault analysis.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of power distribution and delivery architecture (transformers, generators, UPS, and batteries).
• Experience with preventative maintenance regimes for critical infrastructure.
• Expertise in IT cooling systems architecture and operations.
• Familiarity with ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO50001, and PCI-DSS standards.
• Proven experience in people management, including conflict and performance management.
• Strong financial acumen regarding Opex/Capex and financial reporting.
• Ability to perform operational risk assessments in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in Italian and professional English (B2 level or higher).
