Data Center Logistics Specialist

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of high-value data center equipment
• Coordinate secure packaging, shipping, and transportation of servers, storage, and networking hardware
• Maintain accurate asset records and validate asset tagging standards within tracking systems
• Manage inventory transactions including receiving, transfers, deployments, returns, and decommissions
• Perform routine inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support the installation and decommissioning of hardware
• Execute secure asset disposition processes, including e-waste handling and data sanitization
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics workflows and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in data center logistics, inventory management, or technical infrastructure environments
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure fundamentals
• Proven experience with asset lifecycle management and tracking systems
• Expertise in performing inventory audits, cycle counts, and ABC inventory management
• Proficiency with inventory management tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems
• Ability to lift and move equipment in accordance with safety guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale R&D or engineering lab environments
• Familiarity with e-waste regulations and secure hardware destruction practices
