Data Center Lab Designer/Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead technical due diligence on new and existing facilities, evaluating power, cooling, and connectivity.
• Develop scalable, modular lab designs optimized for high-density compute and airflow efficiency.
• Establish global lab design standards and corporate infrastructure specifications across business units.
• Define standards for power distribution, liquid cooling readiness, and IT networking space.
• Monitor construction progress, review technical drawings, and oversee commissioning processes.
• Implement and govern DCIM, monitoring, and automation platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Facilities, Procurement, and Product SMEs.

Requirements

• Expertise in high-density data center design, construction, or operations.
• Proven experience in large-scale lab or data center architecture and build-outs.
• Strong background in infrastructure assessment and technical due diligence.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings and overseeing commissioning.
• Proficiency with airflow modeling or thermal simulation tools.
• Knowledge of DCIM and infrastructure monitoring systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor or high-performance computing environments.
• Relevant data center certifications such as DCCA, CDCDP, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud-scale environments and high-performance networks.
