About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize electrical topologies and equipment strategies to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability for high-density AI data centers.
  • Review and develop basis-of-design documents, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and power system studies.
  • Lead technical evaluations of equipment vendors, manufacturers, design consultants, and commissioning agents.
  • Evaluate AC and DC power distribution options, including rectifier architectures, busway, and rack power delivery.
  • Partner with mechanical, cooling, controls, and hardware teams to support liquid-cooled GPU rack deployments.
  • Drive FAT, SAT, witness testing, and integrated systems testing for critical infrastructure.
  • Define telemetry and controls requirements for monitoring UPS, battery health, and rack power.
  • Provide senior technical escalation support during design reviews, construction, and operational events.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical facilities such as data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and batteries.
  • Experience producing and reviewing electrical designs, studies, equipment specifications, and commissioning plans.
  • Experience leading FAT, SAT, and integrated systems testing.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or comparable professional certification.
  • Direct experience with hyperscale data centers, GPU clusters, or liquid-cooled compute environments.
  • Experience with BMS, EPMS, DCIM, SCADA, or reliability analytics platforms.
