Data Center Infrastructure Architect

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end physical implementation of the data center network including fiber plant architecture and transceiver planning
• Collaborate with CSA, MEP, and construction teams on power, cooling, and space requirements
• Develop, read, and interpret construction drawings in Bluebeam, ACC, and Procore
• Break down DCN logical port maps into physical cross-connect and patching schedules
• Define cassette types, trunk counts, and structured cabling hierarchy
• Select optics by reach and loss budget and validate interoperability across vendors
• Own the ICT Basis of Design, SOPs, and master specifications
• Integrate with DCIM tools like NetBox to track strands, ports, and patching

Requirements

• Experience designing hyperscale or cloud-provider data center networks
• Expertise in structured cabling systems and MPO/MTP ecosystems
• Deep knowledge of optical standards and transceiver technologies
• Proficiency in fiber loss budgets, dispersion, and testing methodologies
• Experience integrating designs into DCIM tools

Preferred Qualifications

• RCDD certification
• Experience with Coherent DCI
• Multi-generation optics roadmapping
