Data Center Infrastructure Architect

Responsibilities

• Translate system-level and customer requirements into clear, testable Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) subsystem requirements and architectures
• Own requirements engineering for DCI, including capture, decomposition, allocation, traceability, and change control
• Define and document DCI architecture and design, covering virtualization, OS platforms, databases, networking, and storage
• Produce and maintain key subsystem deliverables, such as Subsystem Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents
• Lead technical workshops with system engineering and stakeholders to clarify assumptions and manage risks
• Coordinate with vendors and partners to ensure technical requirements are met

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• Demonstrated experience in requirements engineering and translating system-level requirements into architectures with full traceability
• Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, SUSE Harvester)
• Experience with Windows Server and Linux administration patterns and standards
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server deployment, backup/restore, and HA/DR options
• Solid understanding of physical and virtual networking, including VLANs, routing, segmentation, and firewalls
• Proficiency with modeling and diagramming tools such as SysML, Enterprise Architect, or Visio
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
