Data Center Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new data center infrastructure, optimizing for performance and scalability
• Build, manage, and maintain company infrastructure in global data centers
• Perform equipment installs including compute, network, storage, racks, PDUs, and cabling
• Monitor infrastructure to prevent failures and calculate power usage and availability
• Coordinate with remote hands in remote data centers to provide technical direction
• Maintain asset inventory in DCIM and manage shipping, receiving, and RMA activities
• Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Follow change management processes and participate in off-hours change windows

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with data center technologies (compute, network, storage, cabling, etc.)
• Strong technical knowledge of networking, servers, storage, and virtualization
• Experience with Linux/Unix system administration and SAN connectivity
• Proficiency with command line interfaces and coding skills for automation
• Experience supporting 24x7 customer-facing production environments
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve hardware problems independently
• Ability to lift up to 75 lb.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
