Data Center Deployment Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end labeling of fiber optic and copper cables in accordance with client standards and drawings
• Bundle, dress, and route cables to meet data center best practices and client specifications
• Port and connect cables to panels, switches, and hardware per design documentation
• Perform QC/QA checks on assigned work to confirm accurate labeling, port placement, and cable dressing
• Identify, document, and report discrepancies or issues to project leadership
• Provide guidance and on-the-job support to Level I technicians
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all site safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–3 years of hands-on data center experience
• Proven experience with fiber optic and copper structured cabling
• Experience labeling, bundling, dressing, and porting cables in live or production environments
• Ability to read and follow drawings, scope documents, and labeling standards
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in data center environments

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification
• Experience working in large-scale or enterprise data centers
• Prior experience mentoring junior technicians
• Military, trade school, or technical training background
