Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Maintain the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, life safety, and monitoring equipment to ensure 100% customer up-time.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure.
• Oversee medium-impact projects, coordinating resources, execution, and communication.
• Identify infrastructure risks and performance gaps.
• Assist in facilitating Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
• Develop and document step-by-step Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
• Supervise scheduled maintenance for critical systems including UPS, generators, and chillers.
• Lead incident management efforts during system degradations or failures.
• Maintain meticulous 5S and housekeeping practices to ensure facility integrity.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, life safety, and monitoring equipment within a data center or other critical environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC, HV/LV switchboards, transformers, chillers, and BMS (Trend).
• Proficiency with UPS, lead-acid batteries, generators, PDUs, and RPPs.
• Knowledge of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and building automation/power management systems.
• Understanding of health and safety protocols, including method statements and risk assessments.
