About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead data center commissioning and server OEM-facility integration for liquid- and air-cooled infrastructure
- Manage vendor maintenance of CDUs, RDHx units, and DLC infrastructure
- Monitor operations via BMS and monitoring tools, responding to alarms and troubleshooting cooling, power, and monitoring systems
- Act as primary liaison with data center and colocation service providers
- Review, supervise, and execute SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs
- Coordinate with IT teams to ensure operational readiness and build requirements
- Develop and maintain operational documentation and maintenance schedules
- Ensure adherence to strict uptime and reliability standards
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in commissioning, construction, or operations of mission-critical data centers or 24/7 facilities
- Hands-on experience with direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems, CDUs, and RDHx units
- Deep knowledge of MEP components including Switchgear, UPS, Generators, Chillers, and BMS/EPMS
- Understanding of data center cooling and electrical principles and redundancy topologies
- Experience working with server OEMs for infrastructure compatibility
- Experience writing and reviewing SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs
- STEM degree
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50lbs
- Availability for on-site work in NYC or NJ and flexibility for nights, weekends, and on-call rotations
- Willingness to travel 4-6 weeks per year
