About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own accountability for capacity workflows including receiving, moves, and decommissioning
  • Analyze business capacity demands and translate data into local plans for rapid delivery
  • Plan and lead complex infrastructure projects considering power, cooling, network, and server interdependencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop strategies that improve data center operations
  • Lead data analytics and metrics interpretation to identify inefficiencies and proactively respond to issues
  • Create and improve global standards for processes, workflows, and software automation roadmaps
  • Mentor capacity team members both locally and globally to solve challenges at scale

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in capacity planning, demand/supply management, or infrastructure management
  • B.S., B.A., or B.Eng. in a relevant field, or equivalent degree or certification
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level networking, servers, and storage installations
  • Demonstrated understanding of data center infrastructure systems and applications
  • Familiarity with data center power and cooling constraints and their impact on capacity planning
  • Ability to solve complex problems and deliver results at scale

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as SQL, R, Python, or Bash
  • Experience with server hardware lifecycle management in large-scale environments
  • Background in developing scenario-based capacity models
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process analysis methodologies
  • Project management experience through Agile methodology or PMP certification
