Data Center Campus Facility Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the campus Facility Operations team to deliver 24/7/365 highly available operations for all critical and non-critical infrastructure
• Drive technical and operational rigor by digging into details with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable operations
• Accountable for site safety in partnership with the EHS team, including hazardous energy control and electrical safety compliance
• Partner with Construction and Design teams during build phases and participate in data center commissioning
• Lead the development of operational standards, sequences of operation (SOO), and methods of procedure (MOP)
• Manage critical vendor relationships and collaborate with utility providers and local authorities
• Mentor and develop technical leaders, fostering ownership and continuous improvement
• Manage the Site Operational Budget to align with financial goals and maximize infrastructure utilization

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in critical facility operations, data center operations, or mission-critical infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing technical teams, including performance management
• Comprehensive understanding of electrical distribution (UPS, generators, switchgear) and mechanical/HVAC systems
• Working knowledge of procedure-based safety programs such as LOTO and electrical safety
• Experience operating in a time-sensitive, 24/7 high-availability environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience specifically in Tier III/IV critical environments
• Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA
• Experience with new facility commissioning and operational readiness programs
• Trade certification or journeyman license in Electrical, HVAC, or Controls
• Familiarity with lean operational processes, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience with enterprise asset management (EAM) or CMMS systems
