Data Automation Specialist

Harper is an AI-native commercial insurance company in San Francisco. We're rebuilding the entire business as software, turning expert human judgment into compute to transform a trillion-dollar industry.

Responsibilities

• Build data automations and design automated workflows that surface insights and route information.
• Develop AI agents using modern tooling to monitor, summarize, and interpret data outputs.
• Create operational dashboards and automated reporting for real-time performance views.
• Identify and eliminate manual data work by replacing repetitive steps with automated systems.
• Maintain and improve automation infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance.
• Partner with GTM, growth, and operations teams to identify high-leverage automation opportunities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in automation, data operations, or technical marketing/growth operations.
• Hands-on experience with automation platforms like Zapier, Make, or n8n.
• Demonstrated experience building with AI tools and LLM APIs to create agents or workflows.
• Working knowledge of Python or another scripting language.
• Familiarity with marketing and analytics platform data outputs.
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building agents using frameworks like LangChain or CrewAI.
• Background working alongside data engineers or analysts.
• Familiarity with marketing analytics stacks and GTM data flows.
• Experience with prompt engineering and workflow design for LLM-based systems.
• Experience in high-growth startup environments.
