Data Associate - Payments Governance

Responsibilities

• Monitor third-party payment processing activity to identify behavioral changes, emerging trends, and anomalies.
• Compile, reconcile, and validate large data sets from multiple sources to support due diligence and lifecycle monitoring.
• Build and maintain complex Alteryx workflows leveraging Snowflake to automate data preparation and reporting.
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and metrics to provide visibility into performance and exceptions.
• Research, document, and escalate potential risk issues identified through data analysis.
• Partner with reviewers and process owners to improve analytics, reporting, and oversight handoffs.
• Produce clear written narratives and executive-ready presentations to explain findings and recommendations.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce manual work and strengthen oversight outcomes.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in data analytics or a closely related role.
• Hands-on proficiency with at least two of the following: Snowflake, Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath, or Power Apps.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating data sets.
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros, for analysis and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing, cleaning, and analyzing high-volume data from raw inputs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced PowerPoint skills for building executive-ready charts and narratives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting merchant services, acquiring, or payments operations and risk oversight.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft and common payments platforms (e.g., Titan, Commerce, QlikView, Qlik Sense).
• Proficiency in Python for analytics and automation.
• Experience automating workflows to improve control consistency.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working in a dynamic environment.
