Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Define the data architecture strategy and technical roadmap for Master Data in alignment with business objectives.
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performing data architecture frameworks and governance processes.
• Map business concepts and source data to the Teradata mLDM structure to accelerate development.
• Own and evolve the Volvo Group Data Model (VGDM) for the Unified Data Platform, including lifecycle management and backlog prioritization.
• Lead the design of physical data models and ensure effective integration of data from multiple sources for analytics.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define data architecture standards across engineering, analytics, and application development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data modeling with proficiency in both normalized and de-normalized models.
• Expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) and hands-on experience within the Product domain.
• Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with the Teradata Vantage Data Model or similar.
• Extensive experience with Azure's full suite of services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
• Practical understanding of the DBT Framework.
• Strong soft skills with the ability to work in a structured, fact-based manner and defend technical viewpoints to stakeholders.
