About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and manage Ornge’s Enterprise Data Architecture to align with strategic business goals.
  • Architect high-quality data solutions and pipelines that integrate internal and external data sources.
  • Ensure data architecture supports robust governance, including data quality, security, and compliance.
  • Design enterprise-wide conceptual and logical data models for both operational and analytical systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners as a Subject Matter Expert on data curation and integration.
  • Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to optimize data methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 7-9 years of experience in Enterprise Data Architecture.
  • 5-7 years of experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, SOAP, or Microservices.
  • Proficiency in MS Fabric and Azure Data Architecture/Framework.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes, Dataflows, SSIS, and Power-Automate.
  • Advanced knowledge of Python or R for analytical purposes.
  • Strong understanding of medallion architecture, data modeling, and Master Data Management (MDM).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud analytics services and managing traffic through API gateways.
  • Understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and fundamental data structures.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical artifacts.
