Data Architect/Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and governed Data Lake architectures within AWS environments.
• Define and implement standardized ETL/ELT data ingestion frameworks.
• Manage data modeling and storage across raw, curated, and trusted zones.
• Implement data cataloging, lineage, and quality control frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy regulations.
• Optimize costs and performance for AWS storage and processing.
• Collaborate with business, architecture, and security teams to align solutions with enterprise standards.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing production-grade Data Lakes on AWS.
• Proficiency with AWS core services: S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, and Redshift.
• Strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional and analytical).
• Experience with Data Governance (cataloging, lineage, and quality) and Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience working with large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools such as AWS Step Functions or Airflow (MWAA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with streaming technologies like Amazon Kinesis or MSK.
• Experience working in highly regulated industries such as finance, retail, or telecommunications.
• Expertise in AWS security services including IAM and KMS.
