Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design scalable event-driven and transactional architectures in AWS and hybrid environments
• Define data modeling strategies in Amazon DynamoDB for performance and cost optimization
• Architect and implement streaming pipelines with Apache Kafka and/or AWS MSK
• Integrate Oracle (OLTP) systems with cloud platforms using CDC patterns
• Design end-to-end architectures connecting transactional, streaming, and analytics workloads
• Define event standards, data contracts, and governance in distributed architectures
• Collaborate with backend engineering teams on Event Sourcing and CQRS patterns
• Optimize latency, throughput, and reliability in multi-region distributed systems

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or solution architecture
• Deep expertise in Amazon DynamoDB modeling and optimization
• Practical experience with Apache Kafka and/or AWS MSK
• Strong experience with Oracle (OLTP) systems and cloud migration patterns
• Advanced knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, and CQRS
• Experience with real-time data integration using CDC (Change Data Capture)
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, and API Gateway
• Knowledge of system reliability practices including idempotency and fault tolerance

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics, or Developer)
