Data Architect

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data architectures leveraging Azure cloud and on-premises Microsoft technologies
• Develop data strategy, standards, and governance frameworks
• Create and maintain data models, architecture diagrams, and documentation
• Lead the design and deployment of data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms using Azure Synapse, Data Lake, SQL Database, and Databricks
• Architect hybrid solutions integrating on-premises SQL Server with Azure services
• Design ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS
• Oversee data security, privacy, and compliance implementations
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate data needs into technical designs

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or solution design
• Expertise in Azure data services (Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, SQL Database)
• Proficient in SQL Server design, tuning, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with dimensional, relational, and NoSQL data modeling
• Strong proficiency in SQL/T-SQL and Python, C#, or PowerShell
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and integration patterns
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate
• Experience with Power BI, DAX, and the Microsoft Analytics stack
• Exposure to real-time data streaming (Kafka, Event Hub)
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI integration
• Experience with cloud migration and data modernization projects
