Data and AI Reporting Analyst

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with One IT Directors across schools and colleges to identify, catalogue, and centralize institutional data.
• Establish shared data definitions to ensure consistency and reusability across university units.
• Use AI tools, such as Claude and Copilot, to analyze institutional data and generate reports for Deans and senior leaders.
• Develop prompts and workflows to produce accurate, well-structured outputs suited for a higher education setting.
• Build dashboards and visualizations to translate complex findings into plain language for non-technical audiences.
• Partner with the ITS Data and AI team on underlying platforms and infrastructure, including Microsoft Fabric.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with data in an analytical, reporting, or institutional research capacity.
• Proven experience coordinating work across multiple teams or departments.
• Familiarity with AI tools and a strong interest in applying them to data and reporting workflows.
• Ability to explain data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within a higher education setting.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure.
• Experience supporting data governance or establishing data definitions.
