Data Analytics Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of analytics solutions, including dashboards, reports, KPI frameworks, and benchmark analyses.
• Consolidate and integrate data from multiple internal and external systems to provide consistent, trusted metrics.
• Define and manage key performance indicators, targets, and benchmarks aligned with strategic objectives.
• Drive data quality improvement efforts through validation routines, reconciliation processes, and accuracy standards.
• Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and technical staff to refine requirements and prioritize analytical work.
• Mentor junior analysts, foster an analytical culture, and help institutionalize best practices in reporting and visualization.
• Prepare executive-level presentations that summarize performance, key findings, and actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience working within DHS or DoD environments.
• 8+ years of hands-on data analytics experience, including KPI development and performance measurement.
• Demonstrated experience leading analytics initiatives or teams.
• Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and data preparation tools like SQL.
• Strong background in data modeling, data structures, and relational concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting program- or portfolio-level analytics in civil engineering, infrastructure, or logistics domains.
• Prior experience mentoring analysts or contributing to analytics standards and governance.
