Data & Analytics Lead

Responsibilities

• Own metric definitions, the semantic layer, and the data dictionary to establish a single source of truth.
• Set and enforce data governance, including ownership, quality standards, and definition change control.
• Direct the data engineering team on the pipelines and models that underpin the commercial data function.
• Transform data into actionable narratives and forecasts regarding pipeline, revenue, and retention for the executive team.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of three, consisting of two data engineers and one senior analyst.
• Define and execute the roadmap for AI and predictive analytics, such as forecasting and scoring.
• Act as a trusted data partner to the VP of Commercial Operations and the wider leadership team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a data or analytics function.
• Proven people leadership experience, specifically managing and developing analysts or data engineers.
• Strong analytics-engineering depth with expertise in semantic/metric layers, dbt (or equivalent), and SQL.
• Proficiency with the following tech stack: PowerBI, PostgreSQL, OpenMetaData, and AWS.
• Demonstrated track record of building data governance and a single source of truth from complex environments.
• Executive-grade communication skills with the ability to translate technical analysis into clear business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in SaaS, software, or subscription-based business models (NRR, retention, usage telemetry).
• Hands-on experience with modern BI, forecasting tooling, and applied AI/ML.
• Experience navigating a hardware-to-software business transformation.
• Python automation skills.
