Data Analytics Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery with business and technical stakeholders to translate analytics needs into target architectures and roadmaps.
• Design and govern data platforms (lakes, warehouses, lake-house) supporting batch and streaming workloads.
• Define canonical data models, semantic layers, and data products to enable consistent KPIs and self-service analytics.
• Oversee data integration and ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, lineage, and reliable SLAs.
• Partner with data engineers, BI developers, and data scientists to deliver scalable analytic solutions and ML-ready datasets.
• Implement and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide architectural leadership and hands-on guidance during design and delivery.

Requirements

• 8 years of professional experience in data-centric roles.
• Strong expertise in data modeling and warehousing (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, lakehouse patterns).
• Hands-on experience with major cloud data stacks (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and services like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
• Advanced SQL skills, including query tuning and optimizing large-scale analytical workloads.
• Experience building data pipelines using Spark, Databricks, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency with ETL/ELT orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Data Factory.
• Strong understanding of BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Solid grasp of data governance and security, including access control, masking, and encryption.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data mesh or domain-oriented data product architectures.
• Exposure to data observability (SLAs, freshness, and pipeline health monitoring).
• Familiarity with cloud analytics cost-optimization techniques.
