About the role
Responsibilities
- Extract, manage, and clean quantitative data from the Canadian Emergency Department Research Network (CEDRN) registry
- Perform complex statistical analysis, including clustering, stratification, weighting, and predictive modeling
- Map and extract data from Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) such as Epic, MEDITECH, and Cerner
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and analysis methodologies
- Create data visualizations, dashboards, and summary reports to support study writing groups and stakeholders
- Prepare analytic plans, methods sections for grant applications, and scientific manuscripts for publication
- Support knowledge translation by producing high-quality graphs, tables, and presentations for conferences
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant discipline or completion of a technical program
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in data analysis or research
- Proficiency in statistical software and languages such as R, SAS, SQL, Python, or Stata
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data
- Demonstrated experience in the statistical analysis of health data
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related Data Science field
- Advanced proficiency in R Markdown or Excel (VBA, macros, pivot tables)
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) to extract structured data from unstructured fields
- Experience with cluster analysis of system-level data
- Experience working within healthcare settings and collaborating with clinical research teams
