Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, SQL, and programming languages to provide data analysis for clients and stakeholders
• Serve as a data expert for PitchBook’s database use cases
• Contribute to research across private equity, M&A, venture capital, and emerging technology
• Collaborate with research analysts to identify unique data points, tables, and graphs
• Manage time-sensitive custom research requests for clients
• Provide data support to editorial teams for blog posts, graphics, and newsletters
• Respond to inquiries from clients, press, and internal colleagues regarding research

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics preferred
• 3+ years of experience in financial services or working with large datasets
• Strong understanding of financial concepts (DCF, comps, IRR, asset allocation)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL
• Experience with Python or other programming languages is a plus
• Strong interest in M&A and private financial markets
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

• Experience using the PitchBook Platform
• Advanced proficiency in Python
