Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Design and operate Azure and Databricks Lakehouse architectures using bronze/silver/gold zone patterns.
• Build resilient batch and streaming ingestion pipelines with automated data quality checks and lineage.
• Model curated datasets and semantic layers in Power BI to enable enterprise-scale self-service reporting.
• Manage PostgreSQL schemas, performance, and replication strategies, including CDC into Lakehouse/Synapse.
• Implement observability, incident management, and security baselines such as Managed Identity and Key Vault.
• Drive cost optimization through cluster policies, autoscaling, and storage lifecycle tiering.
• Collaborate with product owners and data stewards to standardize metric definitions and certify datasets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Proven expertise in designing Azure and Databricks Lakehouse environments governed by Unity Catalog and Purview.
• Experience building batch and streaming pipelines (ADF, Structured Streaming) with CI/CD and observability.
• Strong ability to model semantic layers in Power BI and implement RLS/OLS.
• Proficiency in managing PostgreSQL schemas and implementing CDC strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to enforce security compliance and drive cloud cost optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as DP-203 or AZ-305.
• Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Associate or Professional).
• Power BI certification (PL-300).
• Experience with EDB or Crunchy Data PostgreSQL certifications.
