Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Evaluate various machine learning approaches for the REACH project.
• Implement deep learning techniques applied to storm data across different watersheds.
• Forecast water levels and streamflows at various locations based on measurable quantities.
• Provide regular progress reports to the project lead.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Center Director.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience working with research centers or government-funded environmental projects (e.g., NJDEP, EPA, NOAA).
• Proven experience applying machine learning to environmental projects.
• Experience collaborating with scientists, engineers, and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively via email.
• Strong professional writing and communication skills.
