Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and improve complex programs and scripts using Python, R, or other appropriate languages
• Design, build, and implement statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems
• Develop interactive reports and dynamic dashboards using Tableau or Power BI
• Extract and prepare data for studies and analytical tools using SQL and other methods
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analysis needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions
• Manage projects, graduate assistants, and student workers as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as R or Python
• Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in statistical methods and predictive modeling
• Experience performing analysis, programming, or data visualization specifically with traffic safety data
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple long-term projects and stakeholders
