Responsibilities

• Create and improve standardized metrics from foundational datasets using dbt models and AWS Glue jobs
• Create compelling data stories, visualizations, and dashboards based on stakeholder feedback
• Generate data reports for ad hoc requests, impact analyses, and root cause investigations
• Serve as first responder for data discrepancy and freshness issues
• Translate business questions into data requirements for cross-functional teams
• Monitor data quality and completeness across multiple fleets
• Support data scientists by preparing datasets and performing exploratory analysis
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Transportation Engineering, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics
• Strong SQL skills with experience in Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake
• Strong knowledge of Python for data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with dbt, AWS Glue, or similar data transformation tools
• Experience building dashboards in BI tools like Tableau or Looker
• Solid understanding of descriptive statistics
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Transportation, or a related field
• Experience with geospatial analytics and spatial datasets
• Experience with large-scale time-series and mobility datasets (GTFS, GPS traces)
• Experience with Grafana or similar operational monitoring tools
• Exposure to AWS cloud platforms
• Prior experience in a startup environment
