About the role
Responsibilities
- Support operational and strategic decision-making for safety, production, and cost through data pipelines and business intelligence
- Develop automated reports and conduct analyses to provide visibility into KPIs and performance drivers
- Build and manage data pipelines integrating structured and unstructured data sources
- Design and institute automated workflows using SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, and Alteryx to ensure data integrity
- Develop and maintain ETL processes and application integrations across multiple systems
- Analyze drivers impacting LOE, Capital, and Production in coordination with Operations
- Evaluate current data entry and QC processes to provide optimization recommendations
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including field operations, IT, and accounting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a technical role
- Proficiency in working with relational databases and generating complex data visualizations
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or PowerBI
- Experience with ETL processes and workflow automation (e.g., Databricks, Alteryx)
- Advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of programming languages such as Python, R, or Matlab
- Advanced data handling skills including complex data integration
- Subject Matter Expertise in functions applicable to a Data Analyst role
