About the role
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret data to support strategic decision-making and knowledge development
- Extract and integrate data from multiple systems into usable formats
- Support clinical and non-clinical teams with statistical analysis, benchmarking, and data visualization
- Deliver routine and ad hoc reports in user-friendly formats for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and refine performance indicators and metrics
- Design and run queries and reports using JReports, SQL, and/or Cognos
- Utilize business intelligence tools to create dashboards and scorecards
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for database and reporting development
- Promote data literacy by educating staff on interpreting and using data for decision-making
- Ensure data quality and integrity through best practices and regular audits
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in database management and business data analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office suite
- Experience with Telus PS Suite and other database systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in database management
- Experience in healthcare, community health centres, or the non-profit sector
- Experience in adult education and delivering training
