About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analyses for an NIH-funded study focused on hormone therapy use in patients with premature or early menopause.
  • Manage large healthcare databases and perform rigorous analysis using advanced analytical and programming methods.
  • Maintain study datasets, documentation, and data dictionaries to ensure quality, integrity, and version control.
  • Summarize and interpret findings by producing results tables, figures, listings, and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Support scientific dissemination by assisting with the preparation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts for publication.
  • Perform health services research data collection, including medical chart abstraction, participant recruitment, and administering questionnaires or focus groups.
  • Conduct analysis of both qualitative and quantitative research data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, data science, applied mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS, R, Stata, or Python.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to apply statistical methods to complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in an academic or research setting.
  • Experience working with healthcare, clinical, or administrative datasets.
  • Experience applying advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning methods.
  • Experience with survey research and mixed-methods research (quantitative and qualitative).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
