Data & AI Platform Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day technical operations of Data, AI, and Sustainability platforms, including Data Lakes, Databricks, and Microsoft Sustainability Manager
• Ensure high availability, performance, stability, and security of the Data Platform landscape
• Oversee incident, problem, change, and release management using ITIL best practices
• Lead and mentor a globally distributed team of operations professionals, contractors, and strategic partners
• Drive OPEX cost optimization initiatives and service improvement programs
• Manage release processes and support CI/CD pipelines across DEV, QA, and PROD environments
• Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, and Data Science teams to ensure regulatory compliance and data lifecycle integrity

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in IT Operations Management or Data Platform Operations Management
• Deep expertise in Azure Data & AI platforms (Azure Data Lakes, Databricks, Data Factory, Synapse, Purview)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Sustainability Manager and Microsoft Fabric Administration
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Operations (IaaS and PaaS) within the Azure ecosystem
• Proven experience managing large, diverse teams in a complex matrix organization
• Experience working within highly regulated environments with a focus on data security and compliance
• Proficiency with CI/CD implementation using Git-based source control, Azure DevOps, or GitHub
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
