Data Acquisition Assistant Lead

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary deputy to the Head of Data Acquisition, supporting the design and execution of global external data sourcing strategies.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the global Data Acquisition team, including workload planning, prioritization, and issue resolution.
• Provide people leadership through coaching, mentoring, onboarding, and performance management support.
• Support category strategy development and vendor management, including evaluations, onboarding, and lifecycle management.
• Participate in commercial negotiations to ensure alignment with licensing, IP, privacy, and usage requirements.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Risk teams to optimize commercial terms and cost efficiency.
• Monitor sourcing outcomes, usage insights, and ROI to guide renewal recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in data sourcing, data management, or content acquisition.
• Proven experience in vendor evaluations, RFP processes, and contract management.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret usage, cost, and value data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI is preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex, global delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience acting as a deputy or lead support within a global function.
• Exposure to enterprise data platforms, data fabrics, or cloud-based data solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen regarding TCO and ROI considerations.
• Experience supporting large-scale, cross-border initiatives.
