Dangerous Goods Specialist

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods and dangerous substances
• Pack, label, and ship goods
• Prepare transport documents
• Inspect and handle shipments on-site at customer locations
• Issue quotes
• Provide advice to customers via email and telephone

Requirements

• MBO education in transport or logistics or relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Valid driver's license
• VCA certificate
• ADR awareness certificate
• Forklift certificate
• Willingness to perform both operational (60%) and administrative (40%) tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• IATA DG training
• IMDG training

The Sample Management and Dangerous Goods Services department is responsible for shipping dangerous and non-dangerous substances via road, sea, and air transport. SGS provides logistical and administrative handling, transport support, and advisory services to laboratories and customers worldwide.
