Dance Coach

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, supervise, and manage the day-to-day operations of the university's Dance Team
• Organize and oversee all practices, games, and campus events
• Manage recruitment, tryouts, and participant clearance processes
• Create and teach choreography for various routines and game-day performances
• Provide direct supervision and training to team members during athletic sporting events
• Develop relationships with spirit team members to guide their academic, athletic, and personal development
• Serve as a liaison between the team and athletic administration
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference, and university protocols and budgets

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 1–3 years of previous coaching experience
• Working knowledge of NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with stunting, spotting, tumbling, and choreography

Preferred Qualifications

• Collegiate-level spirit program coaching experience
• Thorough knowledge of applicable safety standards and training experience
• Experience with mascot training and cheerleading
